PARTNERS / SUPPORTERS
In 2021 the project was supported through residency space by Studio Pro Arte Freiburg (DE), and the cultural centre Plum Yard (CZ), and financially funded through a project stipend to promote artistic practice in the corona pandemic, by the Ministerium für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kunst (Baden-Württemberg). In 2022 the research was part of a wider project, funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media within the framework of the initiative NEUSTART KULTUR, aid programm DIS-TANZEN by the Dachverband Tanz Deutschland.
After working in several creations as artistic director and choreographer with a wider team of international artists, Baumann dedicates his latest work to the launch of longterm research with the aim of creating a solo performance.
The project is planned as a continuation as well as a deepening of his previous creative practice and research within the framework of the physical theatre and dance projects he created over the last years, among others: “The WARdrobe” (2018-19), “How things go” (2019-20),“Marhaban” (2019), "Suitcaseboarding (2021) and "Seismic" (2021-2022).
“Plan B, C, D” is merging different disciplines such as physical, dance and visual theatre with elements of stage design installation, circus and the art of the comic into one clear eccentric movement formation, using the tool of the body in action to express the absurdities of daily life.
